The Convention upholds the fundamental truths of evangelical Christianity including:
It is agreed that matters on which evangelical Christians are not unanimous – including the mode and subject of baptism, forms of church government, the details of unfulfilled prophecy and the ‘special gifts’ of the Spirit shall have no place in the life or ministry of the Convention.
The convention shall be controlled by a committee comprising a chairperson, deputy chairperson, secretaries, treasurer and such other members as shall be added from time to time.
The committee shall be self perpetuating but shall hold its annual meeting during convention and shall report to convention.
All members of committee shall subscribe to the doctrinal position.
The committee consists of people from a range of evangelical churches across Tasmania.
